Truecoco has completed the installation of Ghana’s first industrial biochar kiln

We’re happy to announce that installation at our Tikobo One facility is now complete! What a gruelling 16 days for the Truecoco team — working day and night, through weekends and public holidays.

We still have a way to go (you may notice we’re currently missing a roof!), but this marks a major step towards achieving our project goals. We remain on track to begin full production of our virgin biochar from coconut husk waste 🥥🥥

Truecoco's 2030 project targets 🎯
✅ Remove 250k MTs of CO2 through the creation and application of high quality biochar
✅ Facilitate additional revenues and reduce the cost of organic inputs for 30k smallholder farmers
✅ Champion durable CDR across West Africa by scaling across multiple agricultural value chains
