Truecoco’s first stakeholder engagement!
We have kick off! On Friday 22nd November 2024, we hosted our first stakeholder engagement program in Tikobo One, Western Region of Ghana. The day was a brilliant success for engaging the project’s stakeholders. Over the course of the program, Truecoco provided a presentation that outlined the ambitions, problem-solutions & opportunities that the project will create. All stakeholders were then provided with a platform to provide suggestions about how to improve the project, and their concerns. Following Truecoco’s presentation, the participants received a lecture from Dr Emmanuel Dugan, a leading soil & biochar researcher at the CSIR-Soil Research Institute, that explained the benefits of biochar to combatting climate change and improving soil acidity.
Actors from across the value chain, ranging from local farmers, investors, carbon marketplaces, and local NGO representatives, were invited to participate and contribute to the success of the day. The stakeholder engagement was not only an opportunity for us to engage the leading players within the project, but is also a key part of the Puro.earth certification process. If you would like to contribute to the project, please contact us at carbon@truecoco.co.uk.
